All healthcare content that is communicated to GHI and GHI HMO (collectively "GHI") subscribers and GHI network providers should be viewed as general information, intended to promote healthy lifestyles. All information is gathered from evidence-based research, national guidelines, best practice, and reputable resources and written or reviewed by a licensed clinician. When available, all content will cite the sources and publication dates for the findings. In the event that only citing the source is deemed not sufficient by the Medical Affairs reviewer, and the author and/or source of the clinical findings are known to GHI, the author and/or source of the clinical findings will be cited.
Prior to distribution or viewing, all health content developed internally at GHI for the web is reviewed for clinical accuracy, regulatory compliance, readability and functionality. All content developed by third parties for use on GHI.com is held to these same standards.

Electronic Communications
All emails that are received by customer service via the GHI Web site are acknowledged with an automated acknowledgement receipt email. Once the matter is reviewed, a reply is posted in the user's PIN-protected secure message center and an email is sent to the user stating that the answer to his or her query can be found in the message center. There is a two to three day response time for inquiries that do not require review of claim or assistance from other departments. There is a seven day response time for emails that require assistance from other departments.
All emails that are sent to the web master are responded to within three business days.
Children
GHI's Web Site is not intended for minors and GHI does not intend to collect personal information from minors through its Web Site. Parental discretion is always advised. By allowing a minor under your care, custody or control to view, access and/or use GHI's Web Site, you accept full responsibility for any consequences resulting or arising therefrom.
Interactive Tools
For all subscriber interactive communications on the GHI web site, such as health risk assessments and self-assessment tools, GHI will disclose sources and appropriately describe the scientific basis for their operation. GHI will also describe and how the results are evaluated, reviewed, communicated, and updated. All information is to be gathered from evidence-based research, national guidelines, best practice, and reputable resources. In addition, prior to entering the secure, interactive section of the web site, a warning will appear advising users that they must be at least eighteen years old to use the interactive features.
Personally-Identifiable Information
In the event that GHI collects personally identifiable information, GHI will disclose to web site users (1) how personally-identifiable information will be used by GHI, (2) to whom, if anyone, personally-identifiable information may be disclosed (3) how long personally-identifiable information will be retained, (4) the rights of the users with respect to the personally-identifiable information and, (5) the identify of the entity maintaining such information, if not GHI. GHI will only disclose personally-identifiable information in the secure, interactive section of the web site. Prior to entering this section, a warning will appear advising users that they must be at least eighteen years old to use these features.
Significant Commercial Relationships
GHI will disclose to web site users significant relationships between commercial sponsors and health content by identifying a sponsor's involvement in (a) selecting and preparing health information content that appears on the web site and (b) any co-branding of health content or service delivery.
To this end, all health content on GHI's web site will (1) identify the source of the information, where appropriate, (2) be selected solely on the merits of information provided, and (3) forbid the identification of specific products where one could reasonably infer that GHI was endorsing such a specific product to the source's commercial advantage.
Conflict of Interest Policy for Health Content
GHI's business dealings with vendors, suppliers, providers, clients, landlords, and lessees shall be carried out without favoritism, on the basis of competition, quality of performance and materials, market conditions and other economic factors.
To this end, all health content on GHI's web site will (1) identify the source of the information, where appropriate, (2) be selected solely on the merits of information provided, and (3) forbid the identification of specific products where one could reasonably infer that GHI was endorsing such a specific product to the source's commercial advantage.
